Probably Kingman, in a bright blue color. All the photos are taken with natural light and are accurate for color except the 2nd photo which was done with a flash and shows as more green. There are no green tones to the turquoise. There are no damaged or missing beads and the original stringing is very strong and secure.
The stringing is done on sturdy cord which will always stretch a small amount over time, especially with a heavier necklace. This is a substantial piece that weighs 114 grams and is approximately 37 inches in length. The necklace is finished with sterling bench beads and cones and finishes with a traditional hook and eye clasp. The silver has acquired a dark aged patina. The bird fetishes are done by a master carver with a streamlined chunky three dimensional shape and details engraved on the wings and face of the birds. All the tail feathers were given a straight edged finish which is beautiful and also stronger. The largest bird is 1.75 inches in length, which is very large for a necklace fetish.
It's 9/16th of an inch across it's mid section and 5/16th of an inch thick. The smallest bird is only 1/8th of an inch shorter in length, so the size graduation is subtle and very gradual. This necklace can stand on it's own, dressed up or casual, as needed. It's a true statement piece. Or stack it with any of your beautiful beads. It's versatile, valuable and extremely wearable.
