Beautiful classic heishi and turquoise tab necklace by award winning Santo Domingo/Kewa artist Harvey Abeyta. Harvey and his wife Priscilla are known for creating stone, coral, and shell necklaces that are entirely hand cut, drilled, shaped, and polished in the traditional style that Santa Domingo/Kewa Pueblo is well known for. They have won numerous awards and prestigious juried art markets, and their pieces are included in both museum and private collections.
This necklace is made of a beautiful turquoise, more green than blue, with coral heishi near the clasp. It measures 19" end to end and the largest tab drops down another 1 1/8" in length. I have often worn these two together as shown.
