For sale is this MASSIVE, genuine turquoise heishi necklace from the 1970's. What goes around the neck is about 20.5 long from tip to tip. It is so heavy that is seems it was reinforced by adding a second closure at the end (refer to pictures). The biggest heishi reach 1/2" and the corn shaped beads are about 9/16ths" on average.
The turquoise is of a rich blue hue with some quartz inclusions and dark brown and black matrix. It doesn't fit on my tiny scale, but what does fit has a weight of 216 grams, so this is a substantial piece of turquoise. This is hand made so please expect perfect "imperfections" throughout the turquoise beads including chips. Also, this is an old preowned piece, so expect visible signs of wear including some dirt and slight oxidation on the beads.
Please refer to pictures before purchasing and ask any questions you may have. (the other jewelry/minerals on display are NOT for sale) if you LOVE turquoise, check out my other listings!
